Face Lift

A face lift removes excess skin and repositions fat and muscle to reduce jowls and smooth the jawline for a more youthful appearance.

Standard incision is in the hairline at the temple, inside opening of ear, under and behind ear.

Anesthesia used is local or general with IV sedation and usually performed at an outpatient surgery center. The length of this procedure is anywhere from 2 to 6 hours.

Discomfort is mild. You may also experience some numbness, swelling, bruising or tightness. You should be able to return to work or your normal activities in 2 to 4 weeks.

Chin Implants

Mentoplasty is the official name of the surgical procedure that makes a weak or receding chin appear more prominent. An implant is placed in a pocket over the bone of the chin.

The goal is to strengthen the chin and give the face more balance and harmony. Sometimes it is necessary to correct the nose as well, though a stronger chin often makes the nose appear more balanced.

Some patients also opt to undergo liposuction of the neck area in addition to or independent of chin augmentation. Neck liposuction makes the neck appear smoother and slimmer and contributes to a more youthful appearance.
